Midnight is a custom midi controller named after an unrideable horse. I designed it to work with a max patch I developed at the same time. There’s an arduino in there that I programmed. It’s a simplified and streamlined update of an instrument I built many years ago. Lately, I’ve been sending OSC from that max patch to a Touchdesigner network that generates live visuals. Here’s a list of Midnight’s key features:

• Buttons spaced to allow multiple simultaneous triggers

• A modifier button doubles the number of controllable variables

• LED patterns that provide information normally found on computer screens

• 8 Samplers that can loop, one-shot, or gate

• Crossfading of sampler groups

• DSP FX bus with 10 FX

• Preset saving and recall
